Most root canals do not fail today when the cause of the root canal is decay. When a root canal is performed because of acute pain in the tooth, there is a higher failure. This higher failure rate is due to cracked teeth. I believe posterior teeth have a higher failure rate when they are put in group function and/or balancing side function.... more »

Just wondering if anyone else is going to San Antonio in October. Haven't been to one in quite a few years, but Dolores really wants to go to Texas and we'll have a chance to visit our daughter in Dallas on the way. Steve
